Credit expertise, engineered
ExactCov is built by people who have lived both sides of the problem — years on leveraged finance desks watching covenants tracked in spreadsheets, and years building enterprise AI systems that do it better.
The information was always in the documents. The tooling wasn't.
That gap is where ExactCov started.
The problem
Credit agreements run to hundreds of pages and every deal is negotiated differently — yet the covenants inside them end up re-keyed into Excel, tracked by hand and hostage to whoever built the spreadsheet.
We lived it
On syndicate desks, a missed basket or mis-read ratio can move a deal. Inside lenders, portfolio teams lose days each quarter re-typing compliance certificates. Both problems have the same root: the documents get read once, by hand, and never again.
So we built it
ExactCov reads credit agreements the way an analyst does — every covenant, definition and threshold linked back to its clause — then keeps watching, so problems surface months before the test date.
The founders
Two careers — one in credit markets, one in engineering — that kept running into the same broken workflow.

Accuracy you can audit
Every extracted covenant, threshold and definition links back to the exact clause in the source document. No black boxes — if you can't verify it, you can't rely on it.
AI plus human judgement
AI does the reading and re-keying; credit professionals make the decisions. ExactCov is built to make analysts faster and portfolios safer, not to remove people from the loop.
Security by default
Lending data is sensitive. Encryption in transit and at rest, zero data retention on model providers, and a zero-trust architecture come as standard.
